People ask me all the time why am I be interested in ecological or any concerns other than the “legalization of pot“.  After all I am  a Cannabis/HEMP Activist. Why would I be interested in anything besides getting high or when the next party is!

I find that to be very insulting to my intelligence. First of all  rarely if ever is there a decent party to go to anywhere. If there is I wasn’t invited.Most of us are all to tired and too broke.

What time isn’t spent on making a dime to live on or suffering from our own health issues is spent fighting a civil war against a plant that never should have been started to begin with.

But then there are other issues as well.

Not the least of which is the use of coal fired energy and the resulting coal ash ponds of residual ash which are killing our people slowly as I sit here and write this quasi article. This is not really a new issue here. It has been around for quite some time. But if you ask someone walking down the street “what do you think about LGE adding another coal ash pond?” you may get an answer something like ” is that a good thing?”.  Pollution of this type in a populated area such as this is an infringement upon those people who live there and their right to “quiet enjoyment” of their property. AND their health.

Then next we can add the pharmaceutical drug abuse problem
the water quality the inadequate schools, the private prison systems, etc.
It goes on and on.

It’s not just about smoking weed it is about a way of life. One that does not infringe upon the rights or abuse of others. One that does not harm the earth that we should be thankful to be living upon.

Isn’t it ironic that the very thing that could help save the environment is the ONE plant that is illegal to grow or have. Huh, this just doesn’t make any sense.
